Burnout & Resilience – How do we ‘bounce back’ from draining experiences? What if those ‘experiences’ are long in duration (months, even years?) Learn skills to proactively increase emotional agility in environments of prolonged high stress. This session includes many simple but powerful practices to build resilience to burnout. This segment can also be paired with ‘Happiness Hacks’ and ‘Resonance’

Leading from your strengths – What if we disregarded our weaknesses? What if our greatest leadership opportunity is under-utilized; to be discovered within our areas of natural aptitude, our areas of easy brilliance? Sounds radical but wait until you see how much more effective you can be, when leading from your strengths (instead of ‘working on your weaknesses’). First, we’ll clarify yours, then help you powerfully leverage them in whatever role you hold. This segment can include individual leadership assessments to integrate the lesson in a personalized -and deeply impactful- way.

Public Speaking for Influence and Impact – Learn how to speak effectively, persuasively, while developing command of an audience. Learn how to facilitate meetings, trainings, deliver speeches, and communicate clearly to groups. Develop your ‘style’ of speaking. This session can include speaking practice by participants for experience and feedback.

Win-win conflict resolution Learn a technique that hard wires emotional intelligence with complete conflict resolution. If there ever was a ‘right’ way to resolve problems in the moment, with focus on everyone coming away ‘heard’ this is IT. Could there be a wrong way? YES, and many doers, ‘linear thinkers’ and solution-oriented people miss effectively resolving conflict by overlooking 2 easy steps.

Jo is an outstanding speaker, motivator, and mentor. She truly connects with her audience and reels you in, surpassing the standard leadership development speaker. The Backcountry.com Women's Leadership Coalition brought Jo in to speak about Public Speaking for Influence and Impact. She offered so much value, including avoiding common pit falls, tips for how to overcome nerves and fear, and a brief practice speech with a 1-1 feedback loop. We received so many positive comments on her content, personality, delivery, and professionalism. I would 100% recommend Jo for your public speaking and leadership needs.

Listening skills –This is an interactive, FUN, and eye-opening segment that has participants really feel the difference between attentive and inattentive listening. Learn simple tools on how to move from lesser-to-greater interpersonal connection. This is an important session for anyone who deals with people! Managers, sales, service; everyone can increase their effectiveness with focus on interpersonal skills. This session is in-person only.

Blow up Impostor Syndrome Do you harbor secret self-doubt, even as your career is progressing? Do you hold yourself back, thinking you’re not ready, worried about exposing your inexperience? Your negative self-talk is your own worst enemy. In this eye-opening, inspiring lesson you’ll learn why we have Impostor Syndrome, where it comes from, and actionable steps to blow it up, replacing it with solid self-assuredness.

People Pleasing & Perfectionism – What do these 2 ‘reactive tendencies’ have in common? How do they show up? How do they serve you, and when do they sabotage you? This segment clearly shows you that line, and helps you get results with less cost to you, with less internal stress. This is a great segment to pair with Blow Up Impostor Syndrome.

Management Seminars - A special 5-part series designed to help new managers navigate the territory of becoming a supervisor (effective 1:1s, delegating, achieving results), to performance management (growing talent), to creating culture and vision as the company grows.

Happiness Hacks & ‘Resonance’ – Can you naturally increase a better baseline positive mood and your energy? Heck yeah! If you don’t know how, you’re missing out on easy ways to encourage a more positive daily experience. This segment teaches you how to trigger ‘happiness hormones’ naturally and powerfully and enhance your energy to accomplish big goals.
